But I cannot decide if this is a good thing or not. Big powerful people who control the arts etc. get involved in flamenco and it has not always been a good result. This may lead to an excuse for promotion for flamenco artists who the arts politicians think are good and I am not sure if I would share thier opinions. I wonder what others think. Tomás
I think the time to worry is when politicians decide that flamenco needs "protecting" to preserve it for future generations. Then it'll end up stagnating, like native Americans on Reservations.
