It would help if we could see larger photos. Your link to "Larger Photos" doesn't work. More importantly, I think most guitarists would like to hear audio samples, such as on Windows Media Player, etc. We understand that audio clips can't really represent the true sound of any guitar, but a well recorded one at least gives us some idea.

Yeah I know my web site needs a little sort out to say the least. The larger pictures on the workshop page work though! I have been trying to get some larger pictures of my recent finished guitars but i'm not much of a photographer I will post something on a new thread here I usually dont have guitars long enough to organise getting someone to picture them.

Sound clips again is one of those tricky things. I know of some professional players that can make even a poor instrument sound good. When it comes to getting a guitar the sound is important of course but so is the feel of the instrument. Most of my clients would welcome anyone into there homes to try an instrument they have purchased from me.

Hola Stephen
Good to see you here.
What are you working on at this time?
I remember when I met you at Pablo you said that you wanted to make a flamenco guitar very traditional. Was it like Santos that you like? I cannot remember exactly.
Saludos

Hola Tomas!

Good to hear from you. I Have had a great year making some very traditional flamenco guitars and some not so traditional looking guitars (Indian rosewood Back and sides and cedar tops! a pair) but great sounding flameco negras. At the moment im finishing off a couple classical guitars and starting a classical and flamenco. All orders so none for sale. I have a client close by who owns a Cypress spruce flamenco of mine so if your down and would like to have a look let me know and i will arrange to borrow the guitar.

I am inspired somewhat by Santos Hernendez but of course there are always other influences that creep in but I always endevor to create that old school sound.

I did recently give a couple of my clients your details to get some lessons they are in essex so i dont know if that would work for them but it cant hurt trying eh!

Beautiful guitar Stephen. I would like to hear some clips of your guitars being played. Perhaps you can get Tomas to make some demo clips.

I just had a new student today and he has a guitar of Stephen Eden.
I played the guitar as well as listen to him and he told me the price.
To be honest I cannot think why anyone would go to a shop and buy a guitar with a famous label inside.
Those days are over.
There are guitarreros around like Tsiorba, Requena and now very much Eden which make it ridiculous to look for a famous make.
I also have another student who has one of your guitars which is also magnificent.
I would very strongly encourage any guitarist to look at the new young guitarreros.
Saludos

Ahh Tomas thank you for your kind post. I'm not even paying you either!

I agree that there is no need to buy big name and some cases factory instruments. I still think that most of the big suppliers out there are more expensive than I am, and to be honest far less helpful than us individual makers out there. I pride myself on offering a level of service that is almost unheard of these days. not just pre sale either I am still in contact with my first customers working with them to understand how I can build even better instruments.
