Hi Marcus,

Welcome to the forum. I'd love to see your work in person someday. And if you ever head down to the Portland area, please stop by if you time allows. It's always nice to connect with comarads-guitarmakers. Otherwise, maybe the next GAL convention?

Marcus, The lattice braced classical that Andrew Mah plays in the video has a phenomenal balance of register. I would like to hear him play some Villa Lobos, mainly Mazurka-Choro, Choro #1, and especially Prelude #1 on it. He started Prelude #1 but stopped to soon. I gave up playing Brazilian classical guitar years ago and only classical I listen to anymore is pieces from Heitor Villa-Lobos Suite Populaire Bresilienne. I think his compositions really put the best guitars to test.

I would like to hear your flamencos. It is amazing how many flamenco guitar makers we have in western North America/Canada.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for your comments. I've been to a couple of GAL Conventions, but I missed the last one, so I'm planning to make it to the next one. I'd also like to attend the Portland Handmade Musical Instruments show one of these years.
It would be nice to meet up one day; I'm sure we will.

Thanks Sam. I like a lot of the Latin American repertoir too. The Andrew Mah recording is just a sampling of what some different styles of playing sound like on one of my guitars. For the most part I think it's a decent recording.
Yeah there are tons of builders on the West Coast. We need more retail outlets to sell through!
Cheers,
Marcus
