Canal Flamenco Radio

Postby mediocre » 10 Oct 2008, 21:28

Hi,
i haven't written since foroflamenco.net, i don't understand all the changes on this forum because i never felt unconfortable on the old one. The thing is that in this forum there are less people and it's less interessant.

Anyway, i'm sure here there still are people who enjoy flamenco, so i share this link

http://www.canalflamencoradio.com

Is the official flamenco radio from the andalusian radio-tv broadcast company. 24h non-stop of explained flamenco. I think that something so great has to be shared!!

You are welcome :P

This is excellent, especially if you're starting out and looking for how to build a flamenco CD/music collection

Is this available as an MP3 stream so I can add it to iTunes? Or can it only be played through my browser?

The RTVA CanalFlamenco web page contains an embedded Flash media player. However, with a slight bit of detective work I was able to determine that the Flash file it appears to play is actually a disguised MP3 audio stream coming from an MP3 media server located at the URL below. Point any standard MP3 player that is able to access media streams via the Internet to that URL and you will be able stream MP3 CanalFlamenco audio directly without going to the web page.

The CanalFlamenco MP3 audio stream URL has changed. See http://www.oldschoolflamenco.com/misc-f7/canal-flamenco-radio-t231.html#p1180.

I have embedded an MP3 media player below that also can be used to play the CanalFlamenco stream without going to the RTVA web page. (The Firefox MediaPlayerConnectivity add-on module interferes with some embedded media players. Click the x in the upper right-hand corner of the embedded player window to close the MediaPlayerConnectivity module if you have it installed.)

Excellent Bob! Many thanks.

I just selected Advanced > Open Audio Stream (or Ctrl+U) from iTunes and entered the URL. Now I get complete control from iTunes and it's listed with my other internet radio streams.

The CanalFlamenco MP3 audio stream URL changes from time-to-time. This is the most recent known address:
