Idea for a new logo

Postby GuitarVlog » 11 Aug 2008, 01:38

A suggestion. The art is from Julio Romero de Torres. The background color can be adjusted to suit the current or future color scheme of the foro. The uploaded image is in medium resolution.

Thanks for the excellent suggestion. Let's see what kind of responses it draws. I like it.

We can kick around more ideas after the foro becomes established and color scheme is set.

I'm not that fond of green but I did read of a green flamenco guitar somewhere. If I'm also not mistaken, it's one of the colors of the Roma flag.

I like it also and the color scheme would fit in with the green just fine IMO. Nice contribution, thanks.

Please cast your vote for the existing website header or the new one above submitted by GuitarVlog in the poll I just created at the beginning of this thread.

I moved this thread from to the Miembro Ayuda to the Afuera del Tema forum.

GuitarVlog I think you are very artistic. I love the picture on the right hand side - where does that come from?

Oooops sorry - I've just read your post and can see where it's from now - silly me!

:)

Do we want to stick with green as the color scheme? I can create a few more versions with slightly different shades that might better complement the forum's current colors. Just let me know.

As mentioned, the graphic that I uploaded is in medium resolution (it was intended as a test and suggestion). I can also upload one of better resolution which should give the text and image a little more "snap".

I think the color scheme is fine, but try one with a green tone and also the resolution looks good, but try one with higher to compare. I am sure Bob can fix up any minor details to make it perfect for the foro. It sure captures the old school old world look and was an excellent idea.
