My name is Jerry Parsons, and I am living here in Salt Lake City, Utah USA. I have been interested in and studying the flamenco guitar for the better part of 8 years, althoughI have played for nearly 40. I enjoy this music and its derivitives quite a bit more than anything else I have done musically. I accompany Tablado Dance Company and perform approximately 10-12 times per year.I also teach fundamental flamenco techniques at workshops and privately and have hosted and coordinated the same for other players.

Welcome to the Old School Flamenco forum Jerry. Although Jerry and I have lived within about 15 miles of each other for many years, we met for the first time at a local flamenco guitar circle a couple months ago. He and others interested in flamenco are planning to come here next weekend for another get-together which, weather and wives permitting, will provide an opportunity to become better acquainted.
