I am a relative newbie to nylon guitar who is well in the wrong side of 50 and have been learning classical for most of a year. I am totally raw at flamenco at this point, but have been working on the little bit of flamenco that is in the "pumping Nylon" book and another small easy flamenco song or two. I do enjoy much of the flamenco type music and hoping I can start out learning a couple of simple flamenco rhythms and styles and see where it goes from there. I do enjoy some of the more "Spanish" sounding music and hope to learn enough for my own personal enjoyment of playing, and perhaps incorporate some of the technique into my other classical playing. I have heard good recommendations for Jaun Serrano's instructional book and CD and expect I will soon purchase that and try out his method.
I am also a member of the Delcamp Classical Guitar forum under the ID of Jratwen, and also on the Falseta and GSI forums as Westy in case I happen into any of you there:) I do recognize a few people here from the Delcamp forum who have graciously welcomed me aboard. Looking forward to participating in the forum and getting better acquainted with this community.
