returning to flamenco

hola amigos,
long long story, ill try to make short:)

based in Albuquerque, N.M., a fairly decent hotbed of flamenco. I used to play a lot of flamenco in the mid 90s up to 2002 - often got into trouble for my particular take on it -- but switched to oud, then sarod, while still maintaining my electric guitar work. Traded and or sold the flamenco guitars I had, back in the day.

Hadnt really thought about flamenco and what I was doing with it until my daughter this year got into the performing arts charter school and now has a daily flamenco baile class! So we were running errands after school, popped into Music Go Round on a lark, found a starter Amalio Burguet 3F to get back into it, so Im returning to the fold!

It's quite a joy to rediscover it, i must say. Im thrilled to be reconnecting to a music I immersed myself in for a long time,a long time ago...

Welcome to the foro and you are lucky to be in an area that has had a flamenco scene for many years. I spent a lot of time in Albuquerque in the early 70's. If you haven't yet, visit the Pimentel and sons guitar shop. http://www.pimentelguitars.com/
