Hi,
I'm a flamenco and classical guitar player-I think the 2 styles are quite complimentary. I, of course, love flamenco and rehearse weekly with an amateur dance group in my town. I love the song, dance, and music (not just the guitar).
My last real teacher was many years ago, Ramon Amador, the guy who accompanied Chocolate and Farruco and
Farruquito in Saura's film "Flamenco". I took about 6 weeks of lessons with him in Sevilla.
I hope to learn a lot from this forum.

Bienvenido al foro.

I, too, play classical and flamenco. I have found that flamenco technique, especially legatos and tremolos has helped me advance more quickly in my classical technique.

You are so fortunate to have the opportunity to play regularly with a dance group. I always wished to accompany a singer, but where I live there is no oppurtunity to hear, see or play with other flamencos.

This forum is great in that there are others like myself, who live in remote areas, who can share our love for this music.
