- Follow these Steps
- Go to the web page of the video you want to link to at YouTube, Veoh, Videomotion, or other similar video site.
- Copy the URL in your web browser's address bar.
- Paste the copied URL into the Foro Flamenco post editor.
- Examine the copied URL carefully. It should end with a video identify code similar to the one in this example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_qzLH3FgxM
- If "&feature=related" or some other character string follows the video code those additional characters must be deleted before the next step.
- Select the entire video URL using your mouse or keyboard.
- Click the video button above the editing window.
- Click the Preview button below the editing window to test the video player. An error message will display if you try to embed a video player for a video site that is not currently supported.
Important
- Do not violate copyright laws by displaying copyrighted videos.
- Multiple players on the same Foro Flamenco page can make computers to seem to lockup. That problem is not due to a software bug. It is due to the method used to stream MP3 and video files from servers. If multiple players are started by website visitors, those players will all try to download MP3 or video files simultaneously. It won't be possible to stop that process until all the files have been downloaded, which has the effect of making a computer seem to lookup and be unresponsive. Use care not to embed more than one audio or video player on Foro Flamenco website page to avoid that problem.
