- Click the "Upload attachment" tab near the lower left-hand corner of the message text editing window.
- Click the "Browse..." button.
- Find the file you want to upload from your computer in the "File Upload" dialog box.
- Select that file and click the "Open" button. (Alternatively, you can double-click the file.) The "File Upload" dialog box will close.
- Click the "Add the file" button located to the right of the "Browse" button. Clicking that button initiates file uploading to the server. There will be a delay that can range from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the file size and the speed of your Internet connection, while a copy of the file is being sent to the server. The file on your computer will not be deleted or changed by the upload process. Uploading only sends a copy of the file to the server.
- Two new buttons will appear below the text editing window after the server has received the entire file. One button will be a "Place inline" button. The other will be a "Delete file" button. The "Delete file" button can be used to delete the server copy of the file you just uploaded if you change your mind and decide not to attached it to your message. Click the "Place inline" button to attach the file you just uploaded to your message.
