i believe he was in the opening scene of carlos saura's flamenco video. he does this unusual thing where his voice "breaks" and quavers. you can see here it at about 5:00.

in the beginning, the guitarists do the "scratching" thing that you hate sam, but it's only really for a brief moment.

anyways, i couldn't find any other videos where he sings like that. i think it sounds really cool.
