Tomas is correct, there is no incorrect feeling in flamenco. Not all listeners get the same feeling the player is expressing. I think we could say that sometimes a feeling a player is trying to express is inappropriate, but not incorrect. For example taking a siguiriyas and trying to make it sound happy and sweet, instead of expressing sorrow. It could be the way the player expresses sorrow or just the feeling they receive when playing siguiriyas and to the average listener be an inappropriate expression, but no one can say it is incorrect. Flamenco is all about feeling. It was created to express feeling musically. rather than talking, it was more expressive and effective to sing. As other joined with dance, palmas, and guitar then compas became necessary. In todays high technique flamenco I think we sometimes lose the feeling of the palos, but this is again a matter of opinion.
Sahir is a unique player with his own style and interpretations. He does everything from flamenco to the Beatles in his own way. Check out his utube videos. Being from the Philippines his native culture no doubt influences his interpretations and puts an interesting flavor to his playing. Here is one of his originals. Not flamenco or is it? It expresses the story of Moses. Maybe a new free form palo?
