Sam,

I love Lole Montoya y La Negra. Lole is a skillful singer with a naturally beautiful voice. This is a great video, not least because she reveals a spontaneity that is often missing from her later polished performances.

Attached is one of my favorite youtube "soleares". (Although it is truncated I have to agree with FlamencoValenciano who posted it: de los mejores de too los tiempos por soleá) The tocaor sounds familiar: still I am unsure who it could be. Does anybody know?

Hola Amigos
The guitarist might be Niño Ricardo.
At the beginning Chocolate says “Ricardo” followed by something like “el major de España” and then as the guitarist starts to play you can hear him humming and people say Niño Ricardo used to hum when playing.
By the way the Soleá is fabulous!
Saludos
Tomás

In my opinion Nino Ricardo without a doubt. Listen to the sound of his arpeggios run very fast, but accurate and clean. Then as Tomas points out, Chocolate says after the guitar intro, "I approve Ricardo ... the best in Spain." My ears are so bad I could never hear the humming, but this sure sounds like Nino all the way to me.

Thank you Amigos,

Tomas, I saw your 1990 Tarantas and Granainas on youtube. Absolutely terrific!
Sam, Payo Humberto indeed is the Nino Ricardo expert on youtube.
