Well, his playing doesn't do justice to the falsetas, but the videos are a treasure for learning Perico's falsetas. I have always felt that Perico was the greatest flamenco guitarist I have ever heard, and I have heard an awful lot of them over forty years. I have Perico's great anthology made in the fifties, and in my opinion no one played with as much feeling as Perico. It is a shame that there are no videos of him, but fortunately there are plenty of Perico Hijo, and Perico Hijo sounds EXACTLY like his father, and to me is the best flamenco guitarist of today. Just listen to him accompanying Rafael Romero in Siguiriyas, one in black and white, and another in color. His playing is just incredibly moving, and represents what flamenco is all about, not the idiotic nonsense we hear today.
