Les, there is the message "Please click on the bar below to start the movie" above what appears to be a movie display window, but there is no bar to click on.

Hi Bob,

I should have mentioned that you will need to have "Quick Time Player " installed to see the trailers ... it's free, just go to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/ ...should work on both Mac and PC ... please let me know if you are still having trouble, Les Stansell

I also have the latest Apple QuickTime Player version installed, but the iWeb javascript function at your website doesn't embed the player in the webpage using current versions of Internet Explorer or Firefox running under Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista Ultimate. It appears that the web page was created on a Mac. Have you tested the operation under Windows?

Yes, we tested it out on a PC yesterday and it worked as soon as Quicktime was installed. I will look into it some more and get back to you.......in the meantime, thanks for your patience, Les

I was able to view all the videos by using internet explorer and when the Real Player download option appeared I downloaded to my computer and was then able to play them from my Real Player. I cannot get this option on Firefox for your videos which is strange. I get a message on Firefox that the videos contain harmful add ons.

I enjoyed the videos and your guitars sound very nice and authentic. I am interested in comparing the sound of flamencos using maple to ones using myrtlewood.

Les,

It was nice to see a sneak preview of your movie at the Musical Instrument Exhibit in Portland. Excellent!

Thanks Peter and Sam........I've been visiting the site for a couple years now and have been enjoying your posts. Up until now, I have not engaged in Forums, but I feel it is time to get more involved.

Question for Sam....did the Firefox message say "videos contain harmful add ons" or "videos 'may' contain harmful add ons"?
...as far as I know these videos should not be compromised, but please let me know if you hear of or suspect any other problems.

And just to clarify, although I have built Myrtle Flamencos in the past (the first in 1981) with very good results, for the past several yearsI have used only Port Orford Cedar (Oregon Cypress) for the entire guitar......top/back/sides/neck/internal bracing......POC just fits the tradition of the Blanca more than Myrtle in the way it looks, feels and sounds. Les, I think the security issue is not with your video file, but instead is with attackers being able to exploit vulnerabilities in the QuickTime player. I have determined that I was unable to play your video because QuickTime execution was being blocked by the Kaspersky Internet Security system installed on the two computers I tried. The U.S. National Cyber Alert System has issued multiple warnings about various potentially-serious security vulnerabilities in Apple's QuickTime player in the past. However, the last alert I am aware of was issued January 22, 2009 and Apple released QuickTime version 7.6 to correct problems addressed in that alert. You can read the text of that alert here Technical Cyber Security Alert TA09-022A. Maybe an additional vulnerability has been found since that time and that is what is causing Firefox and the Kaspersky Internet Security system to block QuickTime player execution.
