New guitars this year....

Postby gshlaven10 » 11 Dec 2010, 00:33

A spot to post new guitars acquired this year.

I'd like to see a Carillo, or a double top- getting tired of looking at the online store pics!

Thanks in advance for posting...... 8-)

Not bought any new guitars for a few years now. Been happily getting out and playing Classical Guitar concerts and spending the occasional few minutes looking in here.

I wish I had one to post. I've got one on order so late next year I can return with a pic.

my new Anders Eliasson blanca....

Postby geert1957 » 08 Feb 2012, 09:25

Hi,

Geert here from the Netherlands (excuse my English).

Since last friday Februari 3, I am the very proud and happy owner of an beautiful Anders Eliasson guitar. Last year October I visited Anders in his little workshop In Andalucia, Spain to select the woods, discuss the specifications for my new blanca.
Before I visited him I tried some flamenco guitars from other luthiers in Seville so I had some reference material. But when I heard Anders play his guitars, my mouth fell wide open. This was what I was looking for.
My visit at Anders Eliasson, October 2011.

Although (I normally play fingerstyle steelstring) my technique is not yet flamenco, I hear it's already sounding very flamenco and Anders says it will only be better in time. It is very easy to play and doesn't need much power in order to really sound great. The extra soundport gives a kind of surround sound, and the inlay looks very pretty. A guitar for life!!!
By the way, the photos are made by Anders. His photos are way better than mine.

Greet, Anders makes a very fine flamenco. Yours looks very nice and no doubt plays very easy and will help you learn flamenco.

What a beautiful guitar. That's the nicest sound port I've seen.
