I visited the Pimentel guitar shop on several occasions back in the early 1970's. They had just opened the new shop on the outskirts of Albuquerque. I had just finished my first guitar and they inspired me to build two more. My only regret was that I didn't buy his traditional flamenco for $650 back then. A Ramirez was $1250 back then and the Pimentel was a much better guitar in every way. I had an early Pimental that was made in Mexico. It was a 660 scale and had too high an action. I never did replace the bridge and fingerboard which is what it needed. I sold it 8 years ago to a budding guitar maker. Wish I had kept it now and had it repaired. Lorenzo died December 2010 at 82.
