In one of his posts Sam suggested that playing old-style flamenco may have therapeutic qualities. From my experience, I can say that after a stressful day 30 seconds of bulerias can do wonders in terms of tension release.

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments. Sabicas' fiery picados, especially when played in unison with Carmen Amaya's feet, were a major part of what initially attracted me to flamenco; this combination of explosiveness and complete control, like an inevitable force of nature.
