This is a classic falseta by Enrique de Melchor I first heard more than 25 years ago on a recoding where he and his father took turns to accompany the great Antonio Mairena por solea and siguiriyas. He likes to play it as an intro for the singer and I recently rediscovered the falseta on a youtube video with Jose Menese. I always loved the falseta and thought I give it a try.

P.S. I would love to blame the poor sound on the fact that I currently have no nails (except on the thumb).

That is very nice and you captured the feel of it very well. I have heard many do their variations on it, but like Enrique's best. I never have nails anymore. Always guard the thumb nail the most as without it I cannot play much.

Sorry, I don't. The video is my understanding of the falseta by watching Enrique's video with Jose Menese (mentioned in the original post). I have replaced my video with a better version - now played with nails - including a slow demonstration. Hope that helps.
