Ed,
I am curious as to why you use the two different triplet rasqueados.
Pai really is all you need. But I learned pei first (from Andres Batista; don't know of anybody else who uses it) and like to keep it alive. With pei I have a somewhat wider reach across all strings and get a more swiping sound. In the last chord I wanted to accentuate the high and low E-strings to fully bring out the dissonance between the root in the treble and the b9 in the bass. With pai before I was mostly striking the 4 lowest strings.
I would call it an adaptation not messed up.
Very kind of you to say that. Let's say not all adaptations were entirely intended.

Sam,
Roland, very nice Taranta. I haven't practiced a Taranta for over a year. I never had any luck with any triplet rasqueado. You do them very nicely.
Thank you very much. Personally, I find the triplet rasgueado easier to play than other forms, because it requires comparatively less finger strength and stamina.
