The Contrast of Flamenco

Postby solendogan » 25 Nov 2008, 06:31

Flamenco in every piece gives us a contrast, i am amazed by this

I mean if you are learning the flamenco scales, you will know that scales are endless gives a contrast to different tones

Same the dance too

What i realize more, is the lightness and the heaviness of the dancer during the moves

some parts you need to be light and happy like tangos

some parts in the same song you become a serious dancer

i like the dance more from this side

Hola Solendogan
Yes a most interesting observation.
I do not know if really all flamenco palos have contrast in that one palo but yes I do know what you mean.
There is a lot of sol y sombra in flamenco.
Saludos
